HALLELUJAH!.HELLACIOUS!.
Neil
Campbell's new doco' "Why Dee Why?"
2007 Premiered Saturday
25th August at Manly
Warringah Leagues
Club's Peninsula Room.
The film could probably be best described as a multi-generational/biopically subcultural,
demographically-macro-focussed, coastally-sub-urban
exposè-style study of the quasi-tribal evolution of a
geographically unique social cell. The crowd on the other hand,
could best be described as just loud and drunk (those of legal
age of course) and pretty much everyone had a great time. Ddv's are available at Sandy's Music Dee Why, Seachange Restaurant and Powerlinez Surf Shops. Get one and you'll be able to hear what you couldn't over the sounds of a
couple of hundred folks getting together - many for the first time in
quite a few years - and celebrating the past,
present and future of Dee Why , DY Point and DYSF. (Early in the
evening I sat at a table with 3 generations of one family all
of whom surf - cool ay?).The film lived up to its promise and
showed half a century of surfing at Dee
Why, D Y Point and past and present DYSF Presidents and members. "Why
Dee Why?" was standing room only and we suspect, well overbooked. I
wish I could remember more - i forgot to take my camera too but that's
probably for the best considering what I do remember which never shoud be recorded .You can
get
a look at the DVD cover details and a Trailer Clip by clicking
HERE p.s. : Why weren't you
there? Look ... Up there .... I saved you a ticket and all!
"CLICK THE CLOCK" For The Exact Dee Why Tides Check

month and you'll see there is still a Calendar here. The
